One important component of following a weight training program, is the students’ ability to track their weights lifted during a workout. Utilizing a weight log promotes progression and provides key insights for both the student and the coach.

There are a few different ways in which students can log their weights in PLT4M. This tutorial shows you the various options for logging weights, and when to use which method.

Can the students use this for workouts that are in the custom tab as well?

@wendtj Yes they can. Logging tests and assessments outside of the workouts on the analytics page can be for any results.

For having weights personalized off those maxes, it just depends on how you set up the custom program. If you tie percentages to maxes and kids have those maxes in the system, it will personalize the weight.

Let us know if that helps!

No it does not. I am asking about different lifts that are not linked to the tests and/or assessments. Examples could be an RDL or DB Bench.

Thank you for the reply though!

@wendtj Got it! So the rule is if the Column is blank they can input text. If the column has weight prescribed they cannot. So if you were building a custom program, you would just leave the “WT” column blank and then they can write in the weight they used. See below image for what it would look like in your workout builder.

Now, we are working on a site wide update, and part of that update includes the ability for kids to “override” any prescribed weight or notes in the workout. So even if you prescribed a weight for DB Bench off their max, they could adjust it and save it for reference next time.

Does that help?
