There is some serious back-to-school baggage we should talk about! As students return to school this fall, we must consider the mental and physical impacts of the past year. From basic form and technique in fitness to the isolation many students have faced over the past year, PE has a lot to address. So how do we do it?

Molly Collins, PE Teacher at Pennfield High School in Michigan, presents her plan to cover the basics of both fitness and elements of social-emotional learning and mental health. In addition, Molly breaks down her ‘book club’ she is incorporating to help facilitate discussions throughout the class that will tap into the real-world challenges students face.
